HLTA and TA Staff room

Have a look at this new site which began life to to give Teaching Assistants a different perspective about the HLTA process. But it offers much more than just that now and has become a place where Teaching Assistants are able to chat, unwind and have a good moan if necessary coupled with having a good laugh. Everyone is welcome, not just HLTAs and TAs. Go on. Have a look.

TA Chat Forum

A place for teaching assistants to come and chat about school or just have fun.
This looks really useful - and fun. Worth a close look.

Learning Support

This is the accompanying website for a new Learning Support magazine, which the Editor says, "recognises the importance of support staff who work with children, and brings them the information, ideas and resources they need." For primary staff. A very welcome addition to learning support resources.

Classroom Assistant

Website for "classroom assistants, teaching assistants, learning support assistants and classroom aides." Comprehensive.

Middlesbrough Teaching Assistants

Website for Teaching Assistants created by Carole Tonner working for Middlesbrough LEA. This is a valuable resource with lots of really useful info.

Teaching Assistants Online Magazine

This website was set up for all Teaching assistants in the South West of England, in conjunction with Plymouth University - but, of course has much wider applicability. I like the injection of  a subtle humour . . . :-)

TeacherNet Teaching Assistants website

. . . for T.A.s Updated 21/11/05. May change again I suspect . . . If so click here to go to the TeacherNet front page.
