Program evaluation Simon says: This is a straightforward, simple, clear, easy to use and customisable four rules of number program. The user can specify the degree of difficulty of the questions. A bonus for students with impaired vision is the large, clear display. One of my visually impaired students was overjoyed when I showed her the program. KS1-4. Depends on need / motivation as always. This program is now freeware and is part of a CD from Chosen Hill School maths department. |
Program Details The authors say: Picture Arithmetic allows pupils to practice the four rules of arithmetic. Ten questions are set and marked with each correct answer causing part of a mystery picture to be revealed. By editing the teacher's control pages, the teacher can control the degree of difficulty of the questions set and / or select a particular number to add, subtract, multiply or divide by.
