In brief

This project worked with up to 40 Year 7 to 11 students and was originally funded by the Government's Single Regeneration Budget (SRB) fund which was used to help employ a teacher for 2 ½ days each week to provide additional support for the students.

Click me to view strategiesStudents were those we felt would be likely to benefit from additional, targeted support. They were selected on the basis of tutor / subject teacher recommendations, parental and student wishes, SAT and CAT scores. Each student was unique in their learning needs. They were not usually low-attaining students, although they may have been.

The Project began in 1997. SRB funding ran out at the end of March 2002. Since then Rhyddings Business and Enterprise School funded the Project which ceased when the co-ordinator retired in 2006.
